How to Participate in the “Who Wants to be an Agripreneur?” Competition

Are you ready to showcase your school’s entrepreneurial spirit and agricultural prowess? The “Who Wants to be an Agripreneur?” competition is your chance to shine! Below is everything you need to know about how your school can participate in this exciting event.

Selection Process

  • Weekend Allocation: Each participating school will be given two days during a designated weekend to conduct their internal selection process. This is your time to identify and prepare your best team.
  • Regional Voting: After the selection process, schools within each region will vote to determine which school will represent them at the next level of the competition.
  • Semi-Finals and Finals: The schools selected from each region will converge in Yaoundé and Douala to compete in the semi-finals and finals. These events will be held every September in either Yaoundé, Douala, or another secure city in Cameroon.

Eligibility Criteria

To ensure your school is eligible to participate, please review the following requirements:

  1. Official Registration: Your school must be officially registered with the government of Cameroon and hold a legal status.
  2. Active Social Media Presence:
    • Your school must have active social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram.
    • Additionally, your school must follow the official competition accounts— “Who Wants to be an Agripreneur?”—on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
  3. Registration Fee: A non-refundable fee of 5000 FRS is required for your school to enter the competition.
  4. Participatory Fee: Should your school be selected to represent its region, a participatory fee will be required. The fee amount will be based on the population of your school.
  5. Financial and Logistical Support:
    • Your school must demonstrate the capability to financially support its team throughout the competition.
    • If sponsorship is not provided, your school should be able to sponsor all participating students.
  6. Project Viability: You must provide credible evidence that your school can execute a sustainable and commercially viable micro-agricultural project.
